Redundancy Switches
Redundancy Switches are used in professional teleports and on SNG broadcast vehicles it is vital that they maintain service even when an equipment failure occurs. Redundancy is achieved by duplicating the amplifiers, but alone this will not work. The amplifiers need to be connected to a redundancy switch that monitors the output of each amplifier, and when the switch senses a fault it automatically makes a transfer from the failing amplifier to the one on standby.
