LNR Low Noise Amplifier Tridundant Manual

This operation and maintenance manual contains the information necessary for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the LNR Low Noise Amplifier NC4 Series Dual Polarization TRIDUNDANT Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) System. Use this manual as a supplement to the NC4 Series Single Channel LNA System handbook.

Replacement parts lists and diagrams which are unique to the TRIDUNDANT LNA system are included. If any further information concerning this equipment is desired contact:
LNR Communications, Inc. 180 Marcus Boulevard Hauppauge, New York 11787 Telephone (516) 273-7111 TWX 510-227-9871

Please specify the equipment part number and serial number in any correspondence, found by referring to the Equipment Supplied list at the front of this manual. After the LNA system is installed at a permanent site it would be advisable to notify LNR of the address. LNR newsletters of improvements, system changes, new add-on components, etc., can then be sent directly to the site.

The NC4 Series LNA’s are designed specifically for use in domestic and international satellite communications earth stations to amplify RF signals with a minimum of degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio in the 4 GHz frequency band. The Dual Polarization TRIDUNDANT LNA System is designed to facilitate maximum uninterrupted communications traffic by providing continuous dual-channel operation even if a failure occurs in one of the two primary LNA’s supplied. A separate input and output allows the standby LNA to be tested(gain, bandwidth, and noise temperature) while the system remains operational.
