Paradise Datacom 70W KU-Band BUC has just been removed from a working SNG vehicle in order to add an amplifier with more power.
This is in excellent working condition although at the time the photographs were taken we did not have the time to clean it.
The interesting thing about this type of Paradise Datacom amplifier is that is has an indoor controller providing control and information about its operation. This is a different approach from most manufacturers who offer M&C functions via the users computer system.
The Teledyne Paradise Datacom Compact Outdoor Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) is built for extreme environmental conditions and high reliability operation. Along with the robust construction exists the highest power density in the industry.
This allows solid state technology to be used in applications that have long been reserved for TWTAs.
At less than 40 lbs. (18 kg), and only slightly larger than a shoe box.
